(A/N: Masa’s Side Story before and after what had happen to his sister Yuki)

Masa and Yuki were both now 20 year old as they were gone shopping with their parents and Masa decides to go check out some swords as he didn’t notices his sister was gone as their parents were getting some stuff. Masa continues to look at some swords as he finds one that strangely looks like an anchor and then Sasuke appears next to him and said, “Something wrong, young Lord?” “Oh no just it looks like that I’ve seen it before.” Masa said and Sasuke then looks at the sword that Masa was looking at as he then said, “Oh I see it does looks like Lord Chosokabe Motochika’s anchor sword, but that one is a bit more smaller that his anchor sword.” “Who’s that?” Masa said and Sasuke then looks at Masa as Sasuke then said, “You probably don’t remember him, but during that time when me and Kasuga were babysitting you and Yuki, the both of you wonder off, and I went to look for you, and I find you in his arms after you fell off the cliff.” Masa’s eyes widen in hearing this and he decides to get it as he the merchant that was selling it; Masa pays for the sword as he puts in one of his loops that are holding his swords. The merchant thanked Masa and then Masa went to meet up with his parents as they just finished in not knowing that he passed by his sister; then Masa met with their parents as Masamune their dad notice the sword as he whistle and said, “That’s a nice sword you got, reminded you of someone.” “Yes it did, dad.” Masa said and then Yukimura their mom said, “Where’s Yuki?” “She isn’t with you?” Masa said and then Masamune said, “Seriously, hey ninja boy, go look for her, and bring her back when you find her.” “All right then, Lord Date.” Sasuke said as he then disappears and they went home as they wait for Sasuke to bring her back home.

It wasn’t long till they arrived home and it was the ten minutes as it was starting to get late when Yuki came back home with Sasuke. Their parents was talking Yuki about wondering off as Masa was cleaning and polishing his sword in so he could use in his next training as he was outside; then Masa notice Yuki walking back to her room as she looked excited and he watches her leave as he wonder of where she was going as he follows her as he quietly watches her leave as he follows her. Masa continues to follow her as he was worried for her in wondering of where she was going and then arrive to a hill where their parents and army hang out in eating and drinking. The next thing that Masa saw next makes his eyes widen as he spots their Dad’s rival Ishida Mitsunari and they hugging one another and talking like they were lovers or something; Masa was about to do something when then  a familiar voice said, “Young Lord Boss Masa what’s going on?” Masa turns around in seeing Katakura Kojuro, his friend, and Masa’s eyes widen and said, “Kojuro, I-I was…I saw my sister leave and…” Kojuro just smiles and ruffles his hair and Kojuro said, “Don’t worry, just head on home, and I’ll handle the rest.” “Okay and thanks.” Masa said as he heads on back home and Masa manages to get back home as Sasuke came up and said, “Young Lord Masa, your parents would like a word from you.” “Okay Sasuke.” Masa said and he heads to their parents as he was standing in front of the door as Masa then said, “Mom, Dad, I’m coming in.” Masa slides the door open and walks in as in closes the door and Masa then walks up to them and sits down in front of them as Yukimura said, “Masa why did you leave like that?” “I’m sorry mom, but it was Yuki that left, and I was worried about her. So I followed her to find out of where she was going and I…saw her with Ishida Mitsunari hugging and kissing her.” Masa said as he knew that Yuki was going to be in trouble as Masamune said, “WHAT?!” Masa flinches as he said it in English and Yukimura’s eyes widen at this and said, “Are you sure?” Masa nods his head and said, “Yes.” “You may go then and thanks for telling us and I’m sure Kojuro is getting her.” Masamune said and Masa said, “Yes he is as he was the one that told me to come back.” “Very well then, thank you, and you may go.” Masamune said as Masa then bows his head and then gets up leaves as he slides the door open and walks out a she closes the door behind him as he heads on back to his room. when Yuki got back, he could hear yelling and such as he knew that he got Yuki into trouble. Masa then decides to wait till she comes out of their parents’ room and Masa will tell Yuki that he was sorry. Masa then heard the door open and slams shut as he flinches; he then watches his sister go back to her room as Kojuro was taking her back and cries her eyes out. Masa then arrives to her room and said, “Yuki listen I’m sorry for telling on you, but I was worry about you.” “Just leave me alone, Masa.” Yuki said and Masa said as he tries again in trying to talk to her, “Yuki-” “I SAID TO LEAVE ME ALONE!!!! IT’S YOUR FAULT AND NOW I CAN’T SEE MITSUNARI ANYMORE!!!! NOW LEAVE ME ALONE!!!!” Yuki said and Masa flinches and leaves the room in leaving her alone in letting her cry as he leaves her alone in heading back to his room.

Later on that night, Masa decides to go check on her to see of how she was doing as he arrives to her room as he said, “Hey Yuki listen. I’m really am sorry, but I was very worry about as I thought he was using you, and so can you forgive me, Yuki.” Masa waits for a reply as there was no answer and Masa then said, “Yuki are there?” Again no answer and Masa then slides the door open, but then his eyes widen in finding that Yuki was nowhere to be seen; Masa goes as he calls for over and over to see if she was hiding somewhere. Masa continues to look as she was nowhere to be seen and just then he heard someone coming by as he looks to see Sasuke at the doorway and said, “Young Lord Masa, what’s seem to be the problem” “I can’t find Yuki anywhere?” Masa said as he starts to freak and Sasuke said, “Maybe she’s just hiding somewhere.” “I know but she’s not in here anywhere, Sasuke.” Masa and Sasuke then think and then said, “Did you check to see if her horse is still here?” “No I haven’t yet, Sasuke.” Masa said and then Sasuke moves out of the way as Masa goes to the horse stable as Sasuke follows to be sure too. They arrived to the horse, but when they got there. They find that Yuki’s horse is really gone and then they went back to her room in checking to see if her weapon is still there, but when they got there to her. They opened her closet and her spears were gone; both of their eyes widen as they go to Yukimura’s and Masamune’s room to tell them the news. When they arrived to their room, Sasuke immediately opens the door as masa was standing next to him, and said, “Commander Yuki’s gone!” “What?” Masamune and Yukimura said and they leave their room and when they arrived to her, she wasn’t there at all. Yukimura then starts to cry as Masamune comforts him and Masa said, “I went to check on her, but she wasn’t there and I checked her horse, and he was gone too. It’s my fault because I told on her.” “No it’s not Masa. It’s no one’s fault, but for right now we need to find her. Sasuke gather your squad and look for her and ask Kasuga and Keiji for help.” Kojuro said as he appears and Masa said, “What about me? What can I do to help?” “You can wait here if she returns home.” Masamune said and Masa nods his head and Kojuro said, “I’ll look around as well in seeing if I find her.” “Good now let’s go then and find Yuki. I’ll go see Ishida Mitsunari and see if he will help out.”  Masamune said and Yukimura said, “I’ll go too and maybe Ieyasu will help out too.” Masamune nods his head and everyone went their separate ways except for Masa as he stays at home as they all went to look for Yuki.

Masa stayed at home as he felt bad for what he had done to Yuki in making her run away after he had told their parents Yukimura and Masamune about Yuki being with Mitsunari. Masa wished that there was for him to get his sister back and hopefully everything will be alright in the end. So right now Masa was in his own room as he was worried for his sister after she had ran away and their parents told Masa to stay in case she comes back; Masa stayed behind as he stayed in his room. Masa continues to wait till suddenly a strong gust of wind comes in through the window and Masa goes up to the window to close, but then a piece of paper smacks him in the face as he backs away from  the window. Masa pulls the paper off of him, he got a better look at it the piece, and his eyes widen as it was a map. Masa couldn’t believe it as he decides to go after her and he takes his swords and packs a few things and goes without letting his parents know as he decides to save his sister.

Masa runs through the field as he doesn’t look back he arrives to a river that can lead to the ocean as he didn’t want his parents to find him; hopefully Masa would be able to bring his sister back. Masa walks up to the river as he finds his boat, but it was different kind of boat as it looks like some sort standing board like a paddle board or a surf board. So Masa sets the board in the water as he stands as he grabs his paddle as he sets his stuff down on the board and starts to stroke in the water as he starts to move down in the river as he hope that when he gets to the ocean, Masa would be able to find his sister. Masa continues to go down the river as he looks around in seeing if there were any more clues of his sister as he looks at the map in seeing of where it was he needed to go, but it doesn’t give much to go on by as he just tears it up, and tosses it in the water as he’ll find his sister on his own. So Masa continues to stroke as he looks around as still no sight of his sister, but as he was looking for his sister. Suddenly the river starts to move faster and faster without realizing it as he then loses his balance when he hits a rock as he manages to stay on, he lost his paddle for a moment as he manage to grab it, and he manages to stay as he starts to go down the rapids as he screams as he holds on for dear life. Masa continues to hold as then the rapids finally comes to a stop as Masa continues to drift on the river on his board and Masa then manages to stand on his board, but as soon as he does that. Masa’s eyes widen when he sees a waterfall right in front of him and he starts to paddle in trying to back away from it, but the current was too strong, and then he starts to go down the waterfall as he screams.

Masa goes down the waterfall along with his board and paddle, but then suddenly he notice a huge mass of something as he then bounces off of something as he was on his board as it catapulted him in the air a little bit and then he starts to fall back as he scream and he then lands on the floor hard as he was in pain from the hard fall and then people that looked like pirates surrounded him as Masa quickly grabs his sword as he said, “Stay back!” “Easy there lad were not going to hurt you.” One of the men said and then a voice that sounded very familiar said, “What’s going on here?!” “Captain!” the men said and Masa looks up as Masa thinks that it was a huge canon. On top on the canon was a man as he jumps off and then lands in front of his men and Masa wasn’t sure of what to do at first as the man who is the Captain walks up to Masa as Masa as still had his sword out; the Captain was standing right in front of him and he said, “Who are you?” “My is Masa Date-Sanada, I’m the son of Sanada Yukimura and Date Masamune.” Masa said and then the captain starts to chuckle and said, “Well I be I never I see you squirt again.” “Squirt? Again?” Masa said as he was completely lost and then the Captain said, “The name is Chosokabe Motochika or as people call me The Ogre of the Western Sea and also you probably don’t remember me, but I saved you when you were a squirt on a cliff’s edge.” Masa starts to think and then he remembered as he puts his sword away and said, “You’re that captain that saved my life all those years ago?” “Yes I am, but bring you out here in all these waters.” Chosokabe said and then Masa starts to tell him of what had happened to his sister and how he got here. Chosokabe then rubs the bottom his chin as he understood as he said, “I see, but that what brothers do as they look out for their sisters and I can understand of how you would think like that since a lot of people have used others in learning their enemies.” “Yeah and all I want to do is get my sister back with and to our mom and dad, Captain.”  Masa said as Chosokabe chuckles and said, “Oh come on I known you since you were little so just call me Motochika, Masa.” “Oh okay Motochika.” Masa said as Motochika smirks back at him and Motochika said, “Well your welcome here as we will help you look for your sister at Mori’s territory and get her back.” “Thank you, Motochika.” Masa said as he smiles and Motochika ruffles Masa’s hair as Motochika then said, “Now that your with us, I’ll show you where you’ll be staying.” Masa nods his head and he follows Motochika as the rest of Motochika’s crew went back of what they were doing as Masa wondered of what was going to happen next.

Motochika then leads Masa up the deck and they arrived to a door as then Motochika said as he opens the door, “This is where you’ll be staying for the mean time, Masa.” “Oh um thank you, but where do you stay at?” Masa said and Motochika said, “Well you’ll be staying with me as this is my room.” “Eh?” Masa said confused and Motochika said, “Well since your Dad is actually a friend of mine it wouldn’t be nice of me in having his son in sleeping on the floor with my crew.” Masa nods his head in understanding and then Masa walks in and sets his stuff in the room and then Motochika notices one of Masa’s swords as Motochika said, “I see you found a sword similar to mine.” “Huh? Oh well when we were shopping earlier and I found it at the market and merchant of selling swords happened to have it; when Sasuke told me about it. I just had the erg of getting it.” Motochika chuckles and said, “I see well that understandable.” Masa just smiles back as then Motochika then leads Masa out of the room and decides to give him a tour of the ship.

When Motochika finished giving Masa a tour of the ship they were walking on the ship and then Motochika smirks and said, “and now for the best for last.” Masa was about to say something when Motochika suddenly picks Masa up and then Motochika jumps up as high as he could and he manages to get on top of the canon as they were at the end where it shoots. Motochika then sets Masa down as he manages to stand on his two feet as they both sat down and then when Masa looked out, he couldn’t believe the view as the sun had started to come up, and Motochika looks at masa as Masa said, “It’s beautiful.” “Yes it is, I always love coming out here early to watch the sunrise and to watch the sunset.” Motochika said as they both watch and Masa then yawns as he was tired from his journey; Masa then lays his head on Motochika’s shoulder as he falls asleep as he closes his eyes. Motochika looks at Masa as he smiles and he takes of his jacket and wraps it around Masa in keeping him warm. Masa continues to sleep as Motochika then picks Masa up Bridal style and then jumps off the canon as he then carries him into their room. As he enter their room, Motochika then carries Masa to the bed as he then sets Masa onto the bed as he takes his jacket and put it over him as well as the covers; Motochika smiles as he then watches Masa snuggle in the bed as then a single tear comes out of his eyes and Masa said in his sleep, “Y-Yuki, I’m so sorry.” Motochika then places his hand over his eyes as he gently rub across with his finger in drying the tear as he was going to do everything he has to help Masa in helping him to get his sister back as he then leaves and helps out his crew.

Several hours later, Masa opens his eyes as he wakes up, he then sits up and stretches and yawns as he then looks down in seeing Motochika on the bed as he smiles. Masa then gets up and makes the bed as he then gets changed as he wears another pair of the same outfit just in case he needed an extra one. So once Masa was dressed, Masa leaves the room as he then walks out on deck as he  sees everyone walking around and working as then he heard a familiar voice said, “I see your finally up.” Masa looks to see Motochika and said, “Yeah I guess that rest after what had happen last night.” “Yes that was some entrance you made.” Motochika said as he chuckles and Masa rubs the back of his head as he said, “Yeah.”  “Since you’re going to rescue your sister from Mori and his army, I think its best that teach you some of my moves to help you out.” Motochika said as Masa looks at Motochika as he was surprised and Masa said, “Really?” “Yes how we get started right after lunch since you just woke up.” Motochika said and Masa smiles and they go down below as they arrived to the dining area and they walked down as they got their food and they sat on the floor and started to eat. Masa couldn’t believe of how good it was and Motochika smiles and chuckles as he said, “Easy there, Masa, you’ll get a stomach ache before we even get started for today.” “S-sorry it’s just so good.” Masa said as he stops eating for moment and then goes back in eating as Motochika just chuckles and he continues to eat.

Once they finished eating, Motochika leads (Name) on top of deck, and Motochika then turns his around and pint his anchor at Masa as he said, “Ready?” “Ready as I’ll ever be.” Masa said as he pulls out his new sword in which was his anchor sword and then Motochika was the first to launch the attack as Masa was able to block it. Motochika smirks as he fights back as Masa keeps on blocking as that all he could do as Motochika said, “If you only keep defending yourself then you won’t be able to beat me or anyone else.” Masa was then pushed away as he slides across the floor and Masa stops as he then charges at him as he launches his attack as Motochika was able to block it; then Masa continues to fight back as Motochika said, “Yes, yes that its Masa!” Masa continues to fight back and just when he now him wide open, Motochika as he gets behind him and hold up by his arms as Masa said, “H-Hey, Motochika!” “You did well, but you must remember this. Your enemy will take full advantage of any opening and weaknesses you have, Masa.” Motochika said as he lets go of Masa as masa stands on his two feet as Masa then looks at Motochika and said, “My weakness?” “Yes like for you, you’re trying to save your sister, Mori always likes to use dirty tricks and he’ll probably use your sister to win his fight.” Motochika said and Masa couldn’t believe it in that someone would do something like that; Masa then said, “Then let me try again.” “Hahahahahahahahaha! All right then, I like that fire in you! Let’s go!” Motochika said as they start to fight again as Masa fights back and blocks his attacks as the fight starts to get intense as Masa was able to knock Motochika’s anchor sword out of his hand as Masa smirks, but it was cut off short as Motochika punches him on his cheek in making Masa going flying and tumbled to the others side as Masa hit the rail;  Motochika said, “Another lesson don’t just think that you can win with just sword alone, your enemy can easily change it into a hand to hand combat.” Masa then starts to stand up as he shakes of the pain and Masa said, “I-I understand, Motochika.” Motochika smirks as his sword lands next to him and said, “So want to give it a try?” Masa nods his head as he tosses his head aside and charges at him as he goes to punch him, but Motochika then dodges and punches Masa again as he manages to stay up as Masa then goes down and kicks his legs in making him trip.

Masa went to kick him on his chest, but Motochika catches it as he said, “Good, your now getting it keep it up!” Motochika then tosses him in the air as Motochika jumps and then punches Masa back to the ground as it knocks the wind out of him when Masa hit the ground hard. Masa slowly gets up as Motochika was back on the ground as he was standing in front of Masa. Masa then manages to get up and Motochika said, “Do you give up?” “N-No I don’t not until I-I-I-I get my sister back!” Masa said as he was back on his feet as Masa had a bloody lip and a bloody nose; Motochika just smirks and chuckles loudly as he said, “Then come at me!” Masa then charges at Motochika again as the two charged at one another and then they punched in the face their cheek hard as they tumbled on the floor for a moment and they stopped. Masa slowly gets up  as he was in pain a bit as Motochika chuckles and sits up and said, “Well that’s the most exciting training, I’ve had since I fought against your dad.” “Hehehe really?” Masa said as he walks over to him and said, “Yes and so far you a doing really good with a few more practices it’ll be enough for you to get your sister back.” Masa smiles and sits next to him and said, “Well that’s good to know.” “Yeah so right now let’s get us bandaged up.” Motochika said as he stands and helps Masa up and they headed to the infirmary; they get bandage up. When they were done they both get out and Motochika said, “I’m going to go check on some things with my crew and so you can go walk around or whatever.”  “Okay Motochika.” Masa said as Motochika leaves Masa alone as Motochika thought to himself as he said, ‘Don’t worry Masa I’ll make sure that you and your sister are reunited as I don’t want to see you cry ever again.’ Masa walks away as he walks around on the deck as everyone was busy and Masa continues to walk around as he then arrives different place of the deck where there was trees and a stream as if he was in the woods or something; Masa starts to wonder if this was going to enough to save her and if she would ever forgive her as he then starts to sing of how felt.

Why, why do even trust me at all
Since I am supposed to be the big brother that I am
Then come tell me that I’m wrong
Now what? What should I do?

And who? Who do I turn to?
Now everything feels upside down

Unaware to Masa someone was watching Masa as the person smiles and the person watches Masa as Masa looks at his reflection and slaps the water with his hand as he keeps on singing.

Deep down, maybe I knew
It was way too good to be true

With everyone watching me
Some big brother I turned out to be

Masa looked like that he was going to cry, but then heard he heard someone walking behind him as he then heard a familiar voice said, “Masa.” Masa’s eyes widen as he turns around in seeing none other than Maeda Keiji, Masa’s friend as masa said, “Keiji, what are you doing here?” “Well I should be asking you the same thing.” Keiji said as crosses his arms as he just smiles and Masa said, “I couldn’t just sit around and do nothing when I finally got a lead of where she is.” “What? Where is Yuki at?” Keiji was surprised and shocked as Masa said, “Well after mom and dad left I stayed at home, but then a wind came in and a map came in and it was from Yuki since it said it was for her; it headed to Mori Motonari’s land of Aki.” Keiji couldn’t believe it and then pulls Masa into a hug as he spin Masa around and said, “This is great news, Masa.” Masa was freaking out as then Keiji sets Masa down as he dizzy and then Masa was able to get his balance as he said, “O-okay, but why are you here, Keiji.” “Well after you left you mom had me and others to look for you.” Keiji said and Masa was confused as he said, “Others? Who Keiji?” Masa said as Keiji then pulls masa close again as Keiji always like to tease as Masa tries to hide his blush as Keiji then whispers in his ears, “You’ll see.” “Keiji, if there is something happening between you and Masa, and if you are molesting him! I’m in the right mind to execute you!” a familiar voice said as then Kojuro and Sasuke appeared as well from the bushes; Masa’s eyes widen as he said, “Kojuro, Sasuke, you’re here too!” “Yes Keiji said that he had a feeling that you were most likely with his friends that he hangs out with besides Yukimura and Masamune; this was the first place as here we are.” Sasuke said as Kojuro look like that he was going to kill Keiji as Keiji lets go of Masa and Kojuro said, “So is it true of where Yuki is at, Masa?” “Yes and I’m sure Kojuro, but I’m leaving till I get my sister back.” Masa said and Sasuke said, “Masa, your parents are worried about you.” “I know and it’s my fault that Yuki ran away and so I’ll be the one to get her back with or without your help.” Masa said and then Motochika said, “Ho I thought I heard three familiar voices and it turns out to be The Vagabond Maeda Keiji, The Right Eye Dragon of Ousho Katakura Kojuro and The Ninja Corp Leader of the Tiger of Kai Sarutobi Sasuke.” “Nice to see you, too, Motochika.” Keiji said as he smiles and Motochika smiles back as Sasuke then said, “Come on Masa it’s time for me to take you back.” “NO! I’M NOT LEAVING OR GOING ANYWHERE! NOT UNTIL I SAVE MY SISTER!” Masa said as he screamed causing the three not expecting him to yell like that and Motochika just chuckles as he said, “I got to say you got to love that fire that this boy has in him.” “That’s for sure.” Keiji said as he then ruffles Masa head and Kojuro smirks as he said, “Like Father like son once he makes his mind up on something theirs no changing his mind.” “Same goes with his Mother really thick headed once he got his mind on something theirs no turning back.” Sasuke said as scratches his head and smirks at the same time as Masa smiles and said, “Then…” “We’ll help you out since Ieyasu and Mitsunari are with your parents right now in helping them out.” Keiji said as he smiles as he ruffles his hair and Keiji then stops as Motochika said, “Well I’ll just take you to the rooms that you’ll be staying at till we arrive to our destination since we are all going to the same way.” “All right then, but first let me send a message to our lords in letting them know of what is going and where are.” Sasuke said as Motochika nods his head and Sasuke quickly wrote something and put it in a carrier tube as he tosses out and then a hawk comes out of nowhere and grabs it as Keiji watches fly away as he said, “That’s Matsu for you.” “Yeah she’s letting borrow her hawk this kind of communication.” Kojuro said as the hawk flies away with the message and then Motochika lead the three to their rooms as then till they were gone. Masa was really glad they were here to help out as well and he then smiles as he starts to sing again about his feelings as he walks out of the woods.

Maybe my journey is far from done
My sister needs a big brother and I’m the one
So now it’s time for them all to see
The big brother that I’m meant to be

It is time
To take the lead of my own
It is time
For something bigger than I’ve ever known

No need to wonder, the choice is done
Now I believe I truly am the one
So is it time?

He then looks out of the horizon as he then climb son top of the main canon in getting a better view as he looks out and sits down. He looks out the horizon as he thinks for a moment about his situation, but then his thoughts get cut off when heard one of the crew said, “We’re nearing Mori’s territory of the Land of Aki, Captain. We will be there in three days” Masa stands up as he looks and sees the island as that where Masa’s sister, Yuki is at as Masa then said, “Yes. It is time” Motochika jumps up next to Masa and said, “Ready for a little fun?” “Yes more than ever as I’m ready to get my sister back, Motochika.” Masa said as Motochika chuckles and Motochika said, “Glad to hear that, now go meet up with your friends, and your boyfriend, Keiji.” “K-Keiji is not my boyfriend, he just likes to tease me is all.” Masa said as he blushes and he jumps down as all of the sudden he was caught in someone’s arms as he looks to see that it was Keiji; Keiji said, “Nice catch huh~” “K-Keiji put me down.” Masa said as Keiji chuckles and he carries Masa to his room that Motochika gave him to stay at; then they arrived to Keiji’s room and then he notice that his stuff is in there in the corner and Masa said, “Keiji why is my stuff is here?” “I asked Motochika to let me have you sleep with me~” Keiji said as he smirks, he sets him on his bed and Keiji then climbs in bed with him as he straddle his legs; he then pulls him into a hug and Masa said, “K-Keiji wh-what-” “Let me hold you like this just a bit more longer.” Keiji said as he holds him tight and Masa didn’t of what to say or do as all he knew was that Keiji was acting strange.
